Ponte Vedra, FL - In Loving Memory of Robert Allen Paige

With an extremely heavy heart, we announce the passing of Robert Allen Paige (born January 2, 1949), formerly of Washington, IN and most recently of Ponte Vedra, FL, who left us peacefully in his sleep, with his family by his side, on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at the age of 76, after an 18-month battle with cancer.

To those who knew him best, Rob was the life of the party - charismatic, quick-witted, and deeply genuine. He had a remarkable ability to connect with others, and his warm, disarming personality and infectious sense of humor endeared him to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Rob's passions were many, but he will be best remembered for his deep love of family, his devotion to Indiana University sports and the Chicago Cubs, his appreciation for music - especially ABBA, the Bee Gees, and the Moody Blues - and his enthusiasm for dancing and playing golf. If there was music playing and a dance floor nearby, you could be sure Rob would be in the center of it, leading the way.

Even in the final months of his life, Rob never lost his grace or sense of humor. He never asked, "Why me?", instead he focused on making the most of his time, surrounding himself with family and friends, getting in extra hugs from the grandkids, sharing a meal at Denny's with Brenda, and celebrating every Cubs victory he could. His family will honor his memory by living life to the fullest and never taking a single day for granted.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Linda Paige (d. 2016); brother Stephen Paige (d. 2011); and his parents, Warner and Evelyn Paige. He is survived by his daughter Jacki Lynn Stodghill (Troy Blackburn), sons Robert A Paige Jr. (Kristen) and Christopher Warner Paige (Jessica); fiancée and companion Brenda Estabrook; grandchildren Kristan, Seth, Melinda, Makayla, Allison, Hailey, Amber, Christopher Jr, Whitney, Noelle and Andrew; twelve great-grandchildren; brother Warner Paige; sister Jane (Paige) Hardman; sister-in law Linda Paige; and countless nieces and nephews. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.

Per his final wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. In a final act of selflessness, Rob chose to donate his body to support cancer research. As he said, "I always wanted to be an organ donor, but the cancer took away that possibility - so why not donate what's left to help figure out and fight cancer?"

The Lord has received a beautiful spirit into His kingdom, and we can only hope the dance floor is big enough.

Rest in Peace, Dad
