Montgomery, Indiana - Michael Austin Zinkan, 74, of Montgomery, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. He was born on June 24, 1950, in Daviess County, Indiana, to the late Austin B. and Alberta V. Zinkan.
On October 7, 1972, Michael married the love of his life, Mary Alice (Huffman), and together they shared 52 beautiful years of marriage. Michael will be remembered as a good-hearted man who loved deeply and gave generously, especially to his children and grandchildren. He was an avid basketball fan, king of one liners, maker of the world's best biscuits & gravy, as well as a loyal life-long friend to many in his community.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Alice; sons Timothy Zinkan (Courtney) of Crestwood, Kentucky, and Patrick Zinkan of Montgomery, Indiana; and cherished grandchildren Emma, Hadley, and Bennett. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Taylor, brother-in-law Bill Delaney, along with a loving extended family of nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Trish.
A proud and faithful member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Washington, Indiana, Michael also served as an active member of the Knights of Columbus, where his service and fellowship were a meaningful part of his life.
Michael was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
