New Johnsonville, TN - Mary Elizabeth May, age 80, of New Johnsonville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026.
Born on May 29, 1945, in Washington, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late William McPherson and Rosemary Lynch McPherson.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert May; her daughters, Lisa Letamendi and Melissa Peter (Ted); her son, Ryan May (Gina); her grandchildren, A.J. Letamendi, Rachel (Kirt) Sellers, Rebecca May, Rose May, Kathryn Peter, Henry Peter, Lily May, and Noah May; her great-grandchildren, Austin Tuell, Grace Sellers, Savannah Sellers, Haven Sellers, and Jacob Letamendi; her great-great-grandchild, Amelia Tuell; and her brother, Jim McPherson (Minda).
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Teresa Ann May; and her sister, Nancy Lane.
A service to celebrate Mary's life will be held on April 11, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Antioch Church in Washington, Indiana.
Mary will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
