Evansville - Lorraine Theresa Yourgans, 95, Evansville, passed away peacefully to meet her Lord March 18, 2026. She was the youngest daughter of Otto and Eleanor (Deiss) Moers born July 22, 1930.

She was a proud graduate of Memorial High School (Go Tigers!) and later attended Lockyear Business College.

Lorraine was introduced to Roger Yourgans by their dearest friends, Henry and Sue Mitchell. They wed October 5, 1957 and have remained devoted for the last 68 years. Roger preceded her in death Feb 23, 2026. She is survived by two daughters, Sabra (Bill) Young of Evansville, and Holly (Curt) Miller of Gibson City, Illinois. Son Brett Yourgans passed away in 2018. Also missing their grandma will be her 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She used her business degree in the office of Mead Johnson headquarters in Evansville for several years before leaving to raise her children and moving to Washington. Lorraine gave her talents to several other jobs including her crafty talent as a teacher's aide, her beautiful gift-wrapping skills as a Hallmark clerk, and her organizational skills as a receptionist for a State Farm Insurance Agency.

Lorraine was extremely devoted to her Catholic faith, enjoyed traveling to many countries, taking many photos, and sending cards for every holiday. She will be remembered for her fantastic Christmas cookie platters!

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. CST Monday, March 23, 2026 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Zach Etienne officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
