Denver, CO - Gregory "Greg" L. Clauss, age 78, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, in Denver, Colorado.
Born on October 18, 1947, in Washington, Indiana, Greg was preceded in death of his parents Robert and Kathryn Clauss, brothers Jim, Pat and Joe, and sister Mary Lynn Trester (Frank). He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Clauss; his daughter Laura Monson (Dan); his son Matthew Dozzo; five beloved grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Greg proudly served in the United States Navy for four years, a commitment that reflected his deep sense of duty and honor. Following his military service, he spent over 40 years working in the trucking industry, where his strong work ethic and reliability were well known and respected.
Greg was known for his generosity, his humor, and his unwavering support for those he loved. He had a gift for making people feel welcome and valued, and his presence left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He enjoyed fishing, volunteering at the Samaritan House, and watching football especially the Denver Broncos.
Greg lived his life with strength and purpose and in his own words, "I fought the good fight". He now rests in the promise of eternal life, reunited with loved ones who went before him. His legacy of faith, love, service, and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on January 14, 2026, at Spirit of Christ Catholic Church, 7400 W 80th Ave., Arvada, CO 80003.
