Plainville, Indiana - Gary G. Goodwin, 83, of Plainville, Indiana, passed from this life, on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana. He was born on July 16, 1941 in Plainville, Indiana to Melvin and Mary Shirley (Bush) Goodwin.

Gary was a veteran of the National Guard. He felt blessed to have raised his family and earned his living farming God's green earth. He was grateful for the many years of being involved with the Plainville Lions Club and of the many ways it helped the community. Gary was especially proud of his 50 year involvement with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. He was thankful for his family as well as his many friends made throughout life.

Family left to cherish the memory of Gary include: special friend and soulmate, Dixie Meurer; one daughter, Jamie Howard; one son, Grant (Jenita) Goodwin; six grandchildren, Brittani, Ericka, Janson, Jenee, Justin and Jadon; sister, Sherry Hunert.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Randy.

There will be no visitation or services. A Celebration of Life will held at a later date.
