Washington, Indiana - Darrell Ray Stoll, 83, of Washington, Indiana passed away on July 2, 2025, at Evansville, Indiana with family by his side.

He was born on May 17, 1942, in Liberal, Kansas to Harry and Mary (Swartz) Stoll.

He was a devoted husband, loving family man, and faithful servant. He loved Jesus and knew Him as his Lord and Savior. Darrell was a proud member of Providence Mennonite Church, where his love for Jesus was evident in every aspect of his life. He served his church family faithfully, most recently operating the projection in the sound booth and contributing his leadership as the moderator for the church council. His commitment to his faith and his community was unwavering.

A graduate of Epsom High School, Darrell continued his education at Ivy Tech College, where he honed his skills in the heating, air conditioning, and electrical trade. His passion for teaching led him to serve as an assistant instructor at Twin Rivers Building Trades, where he generously shared his knowledge with others. Darrell also owned and operated his own business, Darrell's Electric Sales and Services, through which he helped countless people in his local community.

Darrell was a lifelong learner. His curiosity about machines and computers made him a resource to many, and his ability to master nearly any device he encountered was impressive. He was also an incredible cook—a master chef in his own right—who loved to experiment with recipes, always perfecting them. His famous angel cream pie became a cherished favorite among family and friends.

In addition to his many talents, Darrell was a pilot who built and flew ultralight airplanes, and he had a deep love for motorcycles. He and his beloved wife Frances J. (Graber), whom he married on September 7, 1963, shared many wonderful adventures together, traveling extensively and enjoying time with their Tuesday Night Ride and Dine motorcycle club. Darrell doted on Fran, frequently taking her out to eat at one of their favorite spots, American Table, and he treasured every moment they spent together.

Darrell was a fan of sports, particularly baseball, cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals, and he enjoyed watching football. But above all, his greatest joy was his family. He worked hard to build strong, personal relationships with each one of them. Whether through texts, frequent check-ins, or tracking their locations to ensure they were safe, Darrell always made his family feel seen, loved, and protected.

Darrell's kind and compassionate spirit, his wealth of knowledge, and his genuine care for others will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mary Stoll, his siblings, Robert Stoll, Wanda and brother -in-law Dwight Maust, Lois Stoll, and his brother -in-law, Abraham "Bud" Stoll Jr.

Darrell is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Frances J. Stoll, their children, Troy (Barbara) Stoll, Lana (Charles) Helms, grandchildren, Aubrey Stoll and fiancé Travis Ford, Evan (Brianna) Helms, Marissa (Issac) Wagler, Jennica Helms, Jocelyn Helms and fiancé Chase Graber, Tryna Helms, his siblings, Shirley Stoll, Dale (Gwen) Stoll, Larry (Connie) Stoll, sister - in-law, Verda Stoll, and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday July 7, 2025, at 11:00 A.M at Providence Mennonite Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Sunday July 6, 2025, from 2:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M at Providence Mennonite Church and then again on Monday morning from 10:00 A.M until the time of service at 11:00 A.M.
