Viola (Miller) Knepp, 63, of Loogootee, passed away at 4 a.m. Monday at Daviess Community Hospital.
She was born July 2, 1953, in Washington, to the late Elmer and Mary Edna (Kemp) Miller.
Viola was a servant of God and in her last days she reminded her family that even through tough times, we must hold onto Him.
She was a member of Berea Mennonite Church. She was a CNA for over 20 years. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family.
Viola was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Mary Edna (Kemp) Miller; sister Katherine Miller; brother Joseph Miller; and brother-in-law Leland Brady.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Larry Knepp of Loogootee; children Donna Faye Combs of Loogootee, Laura Mae (Fred) Graber of Montgomery, Rita Kaye (Brent) Shake of Loogootee and Kenneth Jay (Amber) Knepp of Loogootee; grandchildren Jaylon Combs, Noah Truelove, Davey, Adam and Ashley Graber, Kristina, Katie and Kyndra Shake, Brooklyn and Ava Knepp; siblings Joyce (Abe) Knepp of Loogootee, Leroy (Carolyn) Miller of Odon, Dennis (Rosanna) Miller of Loogootee, Marilyn Brady of Plainville and Delbert (Darlene) Miller of North Carolina.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Berea Mennonite Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Berea Mennonite Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Berea Mennonite Church.
