Butch Lloyd Hollingsworth, 77, Freelandville, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Freelandville Community Home. Butch was born September 5, 1939, in Knox County, the son of Lloyd and Hilda (Kixmiller) Hollingsworth. He married Bernettia Davis on April 28, 1968. Butch owned and operated the Freelandville Milling Company and later became a truck driving instructor for Vincennes University. He enjoyed woodworking and was a member of the Bethel Church, formerly sang in the church choir and a Sunday school teacher. He served in the United States Army.
Butch is survived by his wife of 49 years, Bernettia; son, Darrin Hollingsworth of Freelandville; daughter, Audrey (Alan) Lowe of Naperville, IL; and granddaughter, Madelyne Lowe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Paul Hollingsworth.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM at Bethel Church with Pastor Mike DeCoursey and Pastor Ray Telschow officiating, Saturday, July 1, 2017.Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of service also at the church. He will be laid to rest at Bethel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Freelandville Community Home or Bethel Church.
