Sheila's Story

Sheila Lynn Cox of Petersburg entered her heavenly home at 12:35 p.m. Sunday from her residence, surrounded by her family.
Born March 4, 1947, in Washington, she was the daughter of Johnny and Norma (Morgan) Weber.
She was employed in customer service at Citizens State Bank and was a member of Algiers United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Cox, whom she married Aug. 3, 1963; three daughters, Melissa (Tony) Church, Michelle (Dwayne) Sanders and Melanie(Ron) Henson, all of Petersburg; a sister, Lynna Colvin of Petersburg; grandchildren Luke (Natalie) McGiffen, Taylor Gwaltney, Jordan (Jamie) Jones, Tyler, Gracie and Gabriel Jones, Morgan, Maverick, Cameron and Coleman Henson; and great-grandchildren Aidan, Isaac and Leo McGiffen and Jaxon Jones.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Harris Funeral Home, Petersburg, with Rev. Mike Atkins officiating. Burial will be in McClure Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Because of her love for animals, memorial contributions may be given to Paws of Petersburg.
