Robert L. Carrico, 71, of Loogootee, passed away at 8:56 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017, at his home.
He was born February 8, 1946 in Washington, Indiana, to the late James L. and Mary Regina (Cissell) Carrico.
Bob was an United State Air Force veteran and served in the Philippines and Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He retired from NSWC Crane after 42 years of employment. He was member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James L. and Mary Regina (Cissell) Carrico, and brother, James L. "Turk" Carrico.
Bob is survived by his wife, Elaine (Smith) Carrico, of Loogootee; sons Bob (Cheryl) Carrico and Tom (Trish) Carrico, both of Loogootee; grandsons Logan and Jacob Carrico; brother Rod (Sue) Carrico of Loogootee; stepgrandson Josh Rasico; and loving companion, Snickers the dog.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2017, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at Blake Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Martin County Humane Society.
