Robert "Bob"'s Story

Robert "Bob" L. Freeman, 77, of Washington, entered into eternal rest while at Good Samaritan Hospital on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017. He was born Aug. 4, 1940, in Washington, to the late Charles and Lucille (Pittman) Freeman. He attended Washington schools. On June 20, 1957, he married the late Carolyn "Sue" Freeman. Robert worked as a truck driver for Steel Transport. He enjoyed woodworking and loved spending time with his family. He was a giving man; even in death he gave the gift of life through Indiana Organ Procurement Organization.
Robert is survived by his children, Susan J. Freeman, Billie Jo Freeman (Anna), Dale L. Freeman (Sue), and Robert J. Freeman; companion Peggy Wyatt; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Carolyn "Sue" Freeman; granddaughter Elli Freeman; great-grandson Cooper Freeman; and four brothers and two sisters.
The funeral service for Robert will take place Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Gill Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, and visitation one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment will follow the service at Sugarland Memory Gardens.
