Phyllis A. Wolven, 83, of Washington, passed away at Loogootee Health Care and Rehab at 11:50 a.m. Friday. She was born Feb. 13, 1933, in Montgomery, to Fred and May (Hunter) Troutman. She was a 1950 graduate of Montgomery High School. She was a member of Antioch Christian Church. She loved reading and playing cards, and was a devoted grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She is survived by one daughter Debbie (Steve) Neukam of Washington; two sons, Gary (Judy) Wolven and David (Sandy) Wolven, both of Washington; nine grandchildren, Darrell Wolven, Nathan Wolven (Elaine), Amanda Wolven, Katelyn Bennett (Mark Steiner), Allison Neukam (Brandon Hooker), Abbie Neukam, Jackie Archer, Tonya Byrd (Danny), Denise Woodall; sister Barbara Jean Cline of Washington; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Donald Wolven, preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1993. They married July 24, 1953. She is also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Larry Wolven; brothers Billy Troutman, Ronald Troutman and Donald Troutman; and a grandson, Jeremy Wolven.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with Ron Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ed Lee Mortuary. Condolences may be sent online at www.edleemortuary.com
