Patricia A. Ellis, 89, Plainfield, passed away Saturday in Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on April 25, 1927 in St. Louis to Henry A. and Mary C. Royse Sum. She grew up in Washington. She was the widow of Leeroy D. Ellis. She previously worked at Haase Shoes and Sarah's Children's Wear in Brownsburg. She was a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church in Plainfield. Calling hours will be at Hall Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday with Rosary at 7:30 p.m.; additional calling on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Father Glenn O' Connor officiating. Graveside services will be on Monday at 11 a.m. in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Washington. Survivors include her children: James A. Ellis; Timothy Ellis and wife Lynne; and Patrick Ellis and wife Menir. Four grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters and two great-granddaughters.
