Norma's Story

Norma Jean Clark passed away Feb. 22 at IU Health Hospice in Bloomington following a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 23, 1929, to Herschel and Evah Tolbert of Plainville and graduated from Plainville High School in 1947. She married Philip Clark on Nov. 24, 1952, who preceded her in death July 1990. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by many. She was a member of the Moose, American Legion, and Eagles Club.
She is survived by son Gregory Clark of Bloomington; son-in-law Dennis Broussard; granddaughter Amy (Shane) Woolf of McCordsville; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Phylis Tolbert of Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her companion of 22 years, Edward Leroy Klutey; siblings Bernell Tolbert, Morris Tolbert, Martha Lee Myers and Roberta Risley; and sons Gary and Gaylon Clark.
Graveside services for Norma and Gary Clark will be held March 18 at the Plainville Cemetery at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made to local animal shelters will be appreciated.
