Michael Dean Catt, 65, of Vincennes, passed away at 4:04 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospital, surrounded by family and loved ones.
He was born June 27, 1952, in Vincennes, to Carle Emery and Marie (Cooper) Catt.
Michael retired as a truck driver, working last for Harner Trucking. A member of the First Baptist Church, he loved doing things with his grandchildren and taking cruises. Michael was a horse trader who loved horseback riding, and barrel raced when he was younger. Michael also proudly served his country in the Army.
Surviving are his wife, Jacquie (Martin) Catt, whom he married on Oct. 25, 1975; his mother, Marie Catt Purcell of Vincennes; his children, Carl Catt and his wife Barbara of Madison, and Kena Vieck and her husband Nicholas of Vincennes; his sister, Karlena Montgomery of Vincennes; his brothers, Brian Catt of Vincennes, Doug Catt of Vincennes, and Brad Catt of Indianapolis. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Aubree Hamilton, Paige Catt, Mason Vieck, Jackson Vieck, and his great-grandson, Sam.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, and stepfather, Ray Purcell.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, at Goodwin Funeral Home. with Rev. Steve Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
