Mary E. Cissell, 65, of Washington, passed from this life Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, at her home. She was born Jan. 22, 1952, in Oaktown, to Harvey J. and Selma R. (Archer) Faith.
Mary was a Christian and member of the Second Mt. Olive Baptist Church, and thoroughly enjoyed serving her Lord and Savior. She worked as a nurses aide and cook at various nursing homes and finished the last 10 years of her career as a registered nurse at Ketchem Memorial Nursing Home. Mary also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, hunting mushrooms, fishing and working with crafts.
Survivors include three sons, Walter Cissell and Mike Cissell, both of Washington, Adam (Missi) Cissell of Odon; a daughter, Dawn (Greg) Miles of Washington; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters George Faith of Washington, Nancy (Ed) Ferguson of Elnora, Elaine Faith of Vincennes, Rosa (Carl) Mischler of Washington, David (Debbie) Faith of Washington, and Frank (Marsha) Faith of Elnora.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, J.B. Wittmer.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon, with Pastor Ted Hawkins officiating. Mary will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. (the time of the service) on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017.
