Lewis W. Wallace, 89, of Odon, passed peacefully to heaven on Jan. 6, 2018, in Bloomington. He was born Sept. 11, 1928, to William Earl Wallace and Verna Grace (Myers) Wallace.
Lewis farmed and worked construction. He was a 70-year member of the Masonic Moore Lodge 303 and was Past Master 303. He was Worthy Patron of EOS 341. Lewis enjoyed horse racing, friends, and family.
Survivors include three daughters, Marcia L. (Dave) McConnell of Bloomington, Sandra K. (Scott) Jones of Westerville, Ohio, and Michelle (Jeff) Bower of Marlboro, Vermont; four sons, Michael Wallace of Springfield, Illinois, William Alan (Lil) Wallace Of Wentzville, Missouri, Randall (Robin) Wallace of Aiken, South Carolina and Mark L. Wallace of Indianapolis; one brother, Bert Myers Wallace of Arlington, Texas; three grandchildren, several nieces, and several nephews.
Lewis is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Wallace; his parents; brothers Ernest Leroy and Milton Steven Wallace.
Public visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018. A Masonic service will be held at 4 p.m. Funeral service will follow at the Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon, with Bro. Richard Smith officiating. A private burial will be held Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.
