Laura Watson, 79, of Washington, passed away at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday at Linda E. White House Hospice.
She was born May 9, 1938, in Daviess County, the daughter of Elmer and Lora (Veale) Emmons.
She was employed for 30 years at Daviess Community Hospital, where she worked in housekeeping and the laundry. She enjoyed sewing, yard sales, doing interior decorating, and was a painter and did crafts. She had a love for people.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Watson; a son, Roger Dale Watson of Washington; a daughter, Sue Annette Hart of Odon; and a sister, Ruth Wilson.
She is preceded in death by her parents; six sisters; and seven brothers.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Poindexter-McClure Funeral Home, Washington Chapel, with Rev. Terry Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of service at the funeral home.
