She was born Oct. 31, 1946, in Vincennes, to Earl and Rose (McCarty) Snyder Jr.
Julianne retired from Vincennes University as chairman of the reading department. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Washington, where she had served as an elder and a member of the Presbyterian Women. Her other memberships included the Indiana Retired Teachers Association and the Knox County Retired Teachers Association. Julianne graduated from Fritchton High School and was a part of the Friday Eagletts lunch group.
Those surviving are a daughter, Julie "Beth" Myers of Vincennes; a stepdaughter, Christy Hinnefeld and her husband Russell of Seymour; a sister, Sara Hutchens and her husband Alan of Vincennes; her stepgrandchildren, Christopher and Albert Hinnefeld; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Lucas and Stevie Hinnefeld; along with many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces and cousins.
Preceding her in death are her parents, and her husband, Thomas A. Myers.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2018, at Goodwin Funeral Home, Vincennes, with Rev. Cheryl Thorne officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Westminster Presbyterian Church or to the Fritchton Alumni Scholarship Fund.
