Joseph Knepp Jr., 49, of Loogootee, went to live with his heavenly father while surrounded by his family at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center.
He was born March 30, 1967, in Daviess County, to the late Joseph and Viola (Lengacher) Knepp.
Joe married Lois Marner Feb. 4, 1998, and she survives.
He was employed at Marner Door Manufacturing. He was member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Joe was preceded in death by his daughter, Viola Marie; parents Joseph and Viola (Lengacher) Knepp; two brothers, Samuel Ray Knepp and Lewis Knepp.
He is survived by his wife, Lois (Marner) Knepp of Loogootee; four children, Janelle (Timothy) Schrock, Perry Joe (Angela) Knepp, Rosie Mae (Galen David) Knepp, and Lawayne Knepp and special friend Laura Lengacher, all of Loogootee; two grandchildren, Kendall Schrock and Jamal Knepp; seven sisters, Dorothy Mae Knepp, Fannie Marie (Ernest) Graber, Lillie (Norman) Wagler, Rosanna (Lester) Knepp, Sarah (Ernest) Graber, Delores (Paul) Miller, and Loretta (William) Graber; one brother, Howard (Barbara Jean) Knepp; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lester and Sylvia Marner; sister-in-law, Esther (William) Knepp.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Thursday at the family residence, 2555N 1050E, Loogootee. Burial will follow in Wagler Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m. and will continue until the time of service at the family residence.
