John David Hill, 49, of Shoals, passed away at 1:05 a.m. Tuesday.
He was born April 28, 1967, in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, to Elsie Mae (Hembree) Horsting and the late John Hill.
Dave attended Loogootee High School. He was currently employed at Bridon American Corporation as a machinist.
Dave was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and son who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. In his off time, he was the master of the grill and you didn't leave without trying his entrees twice. He also enjoyed working in the yard, watching sports and was always there to lend his neighbors a helping hand.
Dave was preceded in death by his father, John Hill; sister, Joetta Horsting; grandparents, Clarence and Ruth Mandabach, Adolf Horsting, Art and Joyce Trambaugh and Woodrow Hembree.
He is survived by his son, Matt (Chelsey) Hill of Dale; grandson, Talen David Hill; mother, Elsie (Walter) Horsting of Loogootee; siblings Tim Hill, Tammy Hill, both of Shoals, Amy (Brent) Fellers and Nina Cook, both of Loogootee; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
