Imogene R. Laughlin, 93, of Odon, went to heaven peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Monday, August 21, 2017, in Odon. She was born November 23, 1923, in Daviess County, to Thomas and Rebecca (Wilkey) Kelsey. Imogene married her loving husband of 76 years, Leo E. Laughlin, on March 28, 1941.
Imogene was a member of the Odon First Christian Church. She worked as an inspector at Armour in Washington until retiring in 1975. Imogene was a homemaker. She enjoyed collecting antiques, cooking for her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Leo E. Laughlin; one daughter, Vickie Pershing; two sons, Carl (Valerie) Laughlin and Rick (Kay) Laughlin, all of Odon; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Karl Kelsey of Odon.
Imogene is preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; and eight brothers.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon, with Pastor David Armstrong officiating. Imogene will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
