Dorothy Ann "Dottie" Colvin, 78, of Washington, passed away at 7:25 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, at The Villages at Oak Ridge.
She was born May 20, 1941, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to Joseph and Anna (Padgett) Kane.
Dottie was a devoted Catholic and belonged to St. Peter Catholic Church in Montgomery. Dottie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She worked as a beautician out of her home for many years.
Surviving is a daughter-in-law, Kathy Gehlhausen of Montgomery; her sister-in-law, Fran Kane of Kentucky; her granddaughter, Anna Sizemore of Montgomery; her good friend, Diana Jones of Washington; several nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence Colvin; two sons, Joe and John Sizemore; and two brothers, Frank (Alice) Kane and Don Kane.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2019, at St. Peter Catholic Church, with Revs. Sudhakar and Lowell Will officiating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Corning. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Dottie Colvin.

Dottie is a wonderful person, she loves to laugh , tell jokes. To me (Judy) she’s a very classy woman and believes very strongly in God . She’s in heaven with family and friends.
