Donald  Chandler


Donald Wayne Chandler, 81, of Washington, went to his heavenly home at 7:35 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2019, at Washington Nursing Center.
He was born Feb. 23, 1938, in Evansville, Indiana, to Aubrey and Mary Chandler.
Don was a U.S. Army veteran and owned and operated Chandler's World Imports. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. He loved playing the guitar and collecting books.
He is survived by his wife Florence Chandler, whom he married Nov. 24, 1975; a son, Aaron Wayne Chandler of Bloomington, Indiana; a brother, Gary Chandler of Florida; a sister, Sharon Smith of Georgia; two grandchildren, Jude Xaivior Chandler and Charles Duncan Chandler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2019, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, with Rev. Paul Ferguson as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Ed Lee Mortuary.
