David  Wolven


David M. Wolven, 61, of Washington, went to his heavenly home at 1:33 a.m. Thursday, July 4, 2019, at Daviess Community Hospital. He was born Oct. 30, 1957, in Washington, to Donald and Phyllis (Troutman) Wolven. He graduated from Barr-Reeve High School in 1976. David loved working on old cars and drag racing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had worked for Altress Trucking for over 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy (Murphy) Wolven, whom he married May 8, 1982; his children, Nathan (Elaine) Wolven of Washington and Amanda Wolven of Washington; grandchildren Alexander Wolven, Brooklyn Bowman, Donivan Wolven, and Benjamin Wolven; one sister, Debbie (Steve) Neukam of Washington; sister in-law Judy Wolven of Washington; special friend, Steven (Tammy) Morris of Washington; and a special niece Rebecca (Astul) Diaz of Washington.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son Jermey Wolven; two brothers, Larry Wolven and Gary Wolven; and grandparents, Fred and May Troutman, Esta Goodpasture, and Charles Wolven.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana, with Pastor Jeff Jones officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the hour of services on Sunday at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel.
Memorial donation may be given to the family in care of Ed Lee Mortuary, 101 N. Meridian St., Washington, IN 47501.

David was such a special guy. He was such a good friend. He was the 1 the gave me my first engine block for free. He knew I wanted to learn how to build a motor. If it wasnt for him, I probably wouldn't of got that chance. We'd always talk about cars, trucks and family. It breaks my heart that hes gone so soon. May you rest in peace David. I will miss you my dear friend. Til we meet again..

Dave was a great family man who loved his family and showed it in everything he did. Whenever you met Dave he always had a big smile on his face. He was always with the love of his life Sandy. May God wrap his arms around you Sandy,Nathan and Amanda

Dave driving his truck around with Sandy. He was such a great husband to her. Reach out to Sandy because she will need lots of love missing him so much. I love you Sandy and am lifting you up in prayer my sweet friend. Dave will be collecting his classics in heaven 💜
