David J. Bryant, 57, of Washington, passed away August 31, 2017, at Daviess Community Hospital.
He was born February 6, 1960, in Fontana, California, to Verlyn and James Bryant Sr. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and had worked for many years as a maintenance engineer at Midwest Realty. He loved talking to people, playing pool and working on his landscaping and garden, and was also an avid 49ers football fan. He was a kind and generous soul who loved his cats and was always willing to help people in need.
He is survived by his surrogate family, Mary and Richard Combs and Elizabeth, Cristina, Tamara, Brian, Andrew, Sophia and Oliver Waller; and Doug, Laurie, Felicia, Matt and Withiem; and a community of close friends.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Ed Lee Mortuary.
Burial will be at a later date.
