Charles Edward Fisher II, 60, of Washington, went to his heavenly home Thursday. He was born Feb. 21, 1957 in Fort Knox, Kentucky, to the late Charles E. Fisher I and Thelma Marie Fisher-Walters. While in school, he graduated with an associate's degree. On Jan. 19, 1997, he married the love of his life, Esther Mae (Jackson) Fisher. Charles worked as a computer numerical control operator and on fire fighting equipment for oil fires. He was a member of Full Gospel Church. Charles was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to fish, hunt, go mushroom hunting and dig ginseng. He was a devoted husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
He is survived by the love of his life, Esther Fisher; his mother, Marie Fisher; seven children, Eric, Faith, Kevin, Bonnie, Jason, Chuck, Beth; 22 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters Oma and Julie; brothers Arthur and Daniel; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and cousins. Greeting him in heaven are his father, Charles Fisher I, and Larry, brother Earl, and sister Patti Jo.
The funeral service for Charles will take place Sunday at 1 p.m. at Gill Funeral Home, 308 E. Walnut St., Washington, IN 47501, with Pastor Dave Dixon officiating. Friends may call prior to the service from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Sugarland Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made back to the family.
